Mathilde of Flanders (c.1031–1083), Duchess of Normandy, Queen of England. Her Norman holdings were acquired lands, religious foundations, and dower properties.1

Founded 1059–1066, consecrated 10772
- Penitential foundation: Commissioned as part of papal dispensation for her marriage.1
- Personal endowment: Donated her own land and purchased additional property.3
- Vaucelles purchase (1059): Purchased land in the vill of Vaucelles, including church and mill, from Miles the Marshal for £80.3
- Oblation of Cecilia: Daughter Cecilia given as oblate; later Abbess.4
- Burial place: Mathilde entombed at Sainte-Trinité.5

Vaucelles (Calvados): The only specific Norman land purchase directly attributed to Mathilde.3
