Map Position
This map shows the position of locations containing 'ing, ing , ings, ings ' centered on Ditchling Beacon in Sussex.
Map Logic
This map shows the locations of villages containing the subset 'ing' in the village name. We believe that this implies a defensive location, or a fortified location as the Saxon expand across Sussex. The preponderance of these villages across the edges of the South Downs implies the borders of Aelle's Suth Saxon Kingdom, the forest of Andredsweald is shown, which was impassable except where Roman Roads or rivers cut through it.
