Map Logic
As you can see the Tons still seem to cluster along the edges of the Wash and Fens which were Tidal.
This map shows the occurrance of villages containing 'HAM' a saxon term we believe originally meant
near to the sea, and in later times near to water. A number of the HAM's in the middle of the Wash are on
small islands.
